Partnership Agreements

Avanti Screenmedia Group plc ('Avanti' or 'the Company'), the leading UK digital screen media specialist, is pleased to announce that it has entered into a partnership agreement with Sub.TV Ltd ("Sub.TV") to provide marketing and promotional services to Sub.TV's student and youth venues across the UK. Avanti also announces that will host the UK production of "Art by Chance", a global public short film festival, through the Company's network of screens. These initiatives illustrate Avanti's consolidation of its position as a leading player in the digital-out-of-home (DOOH) arena.

Together with Sub.TV, Avanti is creating "Digital Youth", as part of the Digital Life project. Digital Youth is a sales and marketing initiative targeted directly at the 18-24 year old youth audience. The project will reach over 3 million viewers per week in the target demographic, utilizing over 1,400 screens, across 280 venues via a nationwide digital screen network primarily located within bars, clubs and Student Union venues.

Sub.TV operates digital screen networks within 96 Student Union bars and similar venues across the UK.
Digital Youth is a further example of the Company’s strategy to accelerate acceptance of DOOH by innovative collaborations with partners within the sector.

The second initiative announced today is the launch of a short film festival "Art by Chance" which will be shown across Avanti’s DOOH network between 22 May and 3 June 2009.

Art by Chance will screen 30 second films of all genres, including fiction, animation and documentary, with the exception of training and advertising films. The films screened will be chosen by an expert panel of judges. Art by Chance will take place in 59 cities across 11 countries including the UK, USA, Canada, Germany and the Netherlands. Partners in this project also include TFI and Thomson Reuters.

Commenting on the launch of both initiatives, Avanti's CEO, Simon Rees, said:

Avanti continues to explore new ways of engaging the consumer and both these initiatives do just that. Digital Youth provides a sizeable and highly targeted network for brands looking to talk to the hard to reach youth audience with minimal wastage, whilst the Art by Chance film festival is a fantastic opportunity for film-makers and the DOOH sector to collaborate on a global stage."
