Verona Pharma plc (the "Company") Notification of interest

Following the issue of 57,983,325 new ordinary shares of 0.1p each in the Company pursuant to the placing, as announced on 7 January 2008, the Company received notification on 14 January 2008 that Morgan Stanley Securities Limited no longer has a notifiable interest in the Company.
