Shires Income PLC (the "Company") announces that it has issued 55,000 Ordinary shares at a price of 271.0 pence per share.

The reason for the new shares being issued is due to an excess of demand over supply in the market. Because of this the shares are trading at a premium to the net asset value and the only way to provide liquidity to satisfy market demand is through the issuing of new shares by the Company.

The shares rank pari passu with the existing Ordinary shares and dealings are expected to commence on 14 June 2019.

Following the transaction, the Company's share capital will comprise 30,409,580 issued Ordinary shares.

The total number of Ordinary shares with voting rights in the Company is 30,409,580 and this figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
