Initial launch of Ultimate Player - a child friendly football focussed statistical site

Westside Investments plc, the AIM listed investment vehicle, is pleased to announce that its subsidiary, Ultimate Player Ltd, has launched www.ultimateplayer.me, an exciting new child friendly, football focussed information website, marking the Company's transformational first move into the online market.

Overview

· Phase 1 launch of easy-to-use, child-friendly www.ultimateplayer.me in conjunction with the start of the 2014 World Cup

· Compiles data relating to fixtures, results, league tables, player performance and latest news for the 2014 World Cup and English Premier League

· Development assisted by proven operating experience in sporting activities focussed on children:

o Westside's Sport in Schools subsidiary currently works with around 20,000 children which provides management with a strong understanding of children's interests and requirements

· Primary focus on football with additional statistical information available for other sports including tennis, rugby, golf and cricket - opportunity to increase further

· Significant expansion opportunities:

o Phase 2 launch targeted for Q4 2014 - introduce an innovative, interactive platform for children aged between 4-17, which will track users' personal sporting performance with targeted goal structure to improve fitness and skill set

o Opportunity to expand www.ultimateplayer.me coverage to most other major sports, including coverage of both national and international games and events

I am delighted with the site we have created; www.ultimateplayer.me provides children with a safe environment in which to engage with the World Cup and football as a whole, in addition to a number of other sports including tennis, rugby, golf and cricket. Importantly, this launch represents Phase 1 only, and we have a number of expansion opportunities in the pipeline which will further cement our transformational leap into the online world. This includes the opportunity to increase our sports coverage further and the launch of an interactive platform, which following its use throughout the existing network of children already utilising the platform through the Elms Sports in Schools, is proven to improve children's enthusiasm and abilities across a range of sports. www.ultimateplayer.me provides children with a wide range of applications through which they can engage with sport. The Website is currently focussed primarily on football, and has been developed in conjunction with the commencement of the 2014 World Cup. In this vein a special 'World Cup' platform has been created. This provides users with a breakdown of and opportunity to compare all 32 teams and their players competing in the 2014 World Cup through specially designed 'Team Trumps' and 'Player Trumps' programmes. In addition, users can test their football knowledge in a 'World Cup Quiz'.

Aside from football, statistical information is also available in the 'Stat Zone' for a number of other sports including tennis, rugby, golf and cricket, with the opportunity to extend this coverage further as the website develops. 

There is also a designated news area, which provides users with the latest news for the World Cup and English Premier League.

Importantly all of the information is presented in a clear, easy-to-use format and the content is designed to be suitable for children.
