Holding of the Staff All Employee Share Ownership Plan

Solid State plc (AIM:SSP), the AIM listed supplier of battery power solutions, specialist electronic components and industrial/ruggedised computers to the electronics market, announces that on 13 January 2012 the Company purchased 12,500 Ordinary Shares of 5 pence each at 125 pence per share for the Staff All Employee Share Ownership Plan. The Staff All Employee Ownership Plan now holds a total of 38,505 Ordinary Shares (approximately 0.57% of the issued ordinary share capital of the Company) which it holds in order to meet future exercises of options.
