Gemfields Resources Plc ("Gemfields" or "the Company", Ticker "GEM") received notification on 12 February 2009 from Rox Limited ("Rox") that on 10 February Rox purchased 4,800,000 shares of the Company's ordinary 1p shares at a price of 2.85p each. Following this transaction, Rox limited has a notifiable interest in 207,003,596 of the Company's ordinary 1p shares, amounting to approximately 63.9% of the Company's issued share capital.
