Exploration Progress at WA Projects
Cloudbreak Discovery Plc (LSE: CDL), the London Stock Exchange Main Market-listed mineral exploration company ("CDL"), is pleased to provide an update on exploration activities across its portfolio of projects in Western Australia, including progress on permitting, heritage agreements and the commencement of planned exploration programmes.
Heritage Agreements
The Company has now executed Heritage Protection Agreements covering each of its three Western Australian projects, representing an important milestone in advancing exploration activities while ensuring continued engagement with Traditional Owners.
Darlot West Project
The Darlot West Project, set out at Figure 1 has been reviewed and analysed for the proposed drilling programme as a result of the multiple targets identified from the geological and structural interpretation, shown at Figure 2. The location of the drill holes have now been approved for an initial 3,000-5,000 metre aircore drilling programme at the Darlot West Project, see Figure 3. The programme has been designed to test key structural targets identified through recent geophysical interpretation and surface exploration.
The Programme of Work ("POW") submitted to the Western Australian Department of Mines, Petroleum and Exploration has been approved, and a Heritage Protection Agreement has been signed with the Watarra Aboriginal Corporation.
The remaining requirement prior to drilling is completion of a heritage survey to obtain final clearance for the proposed drill sites. The Company has formally requested the survey and is working closely with the Watarra Aboriginal Corporation to complete this process as soon as practicable. Subject to receipt of heritage clearance, drilling is expected to commence shortly thereafter.
Paterson Project
A Heritage Protection Agreement has been executed with the Jamukurnu-Yapalikurnu Aboriginal Corporation.
The Company has submitted a heritage survey request to facilitate a helicopter-supported Mobile Magnetotelluric ("Mobile MT") survey. Heritage clearance is expected in due course, following which the Company will update shareholders on the anticipated timing of the geophysical survey.
Crofton Project
A Heritage Protection Agreement has also been signed with the Nyamal Aboriginal Corporation, and an application for heritage clearance has been submitted to enable the next phase of surface geochemical exploration at the Crofton Project.
Following a prolonged period during which site access was restricted, field activities are expected to commence during the next quarter. The programme will comprise detailed geological mapping, rock-chip sampling of historical soil anomalies returning greater than 25 ppb gold, together with an extensive soil sampling campaign, shown at Figure 4. The objective of this work is to better define the extent of the mineralised system, generate additional exploration targets and prioritise areas for drill testing later in the year.
Appointment Consultant Geologist
The Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Dahrouge Geological Consulting Ltd. ("Dahrouge") as consulting geologist to support its exploration activities in Western Australia.
Founded in 1971, Dahrouge is an internationally recognised geoscience and project consultancy serving the global mineral exploration and mining industry. With more than five decades of experience, the firm provides multidisciplinary expertise across exploration, resource modelling, project management and technical advisory services, supporting projects from early-stage exploration through to development.
The appointment further strengthens CDL's technical capability as it advances exploration across its portfolio.
Tom Evans, Cloudbreak's MD, commented; "This marks an important milestone for Cloudbreak as we transition from planning to execution across our Western Australian exploration portfolio. With heritage agreements now in place for all three projects and key approvals progressing, we are well positioned to commence significant field activities in the coming months.
At Darlot West, recent geophysical interpretation has identified a number of compelling drill targets, and we look forward to commencing our maiden aircore drilling programme following completion of the final heritage survey. At the same time, work continues to progress at both the Paterson and Crofton projects, where planned geophysical and geochemical programmes are expected to further refine priority targets ahead of future drilling.
Our strategy is to systematically unlock value across a portfolio of highly prospective exploration assets. With multiple exploration programmes scheduled throughout the remainder of 2026, we believe CDL is entering one of the most active phases in its development. As these programmes advance, we expect to deliver a steady pipeline of operational milestones, exploration results and news flow, and we look forward to keeping shareholders updated as we execute our exploration strategy."
