STATEMENT

Cairo, May 7th, 2014: EFG Hermes announces the sale of a portion of its stake in Six of October Development and Investment Company 'SODIC' through its subsidiary "October Property Development Limited". The sale represents 9.9% of SODIC's outstanding shares. This came as part of the Company's ongoing strategy to dispose non-core assets. Following the sale, EFG Hermes will continue to hold a considerable stake in SODIC.

EFG Hermes Investment Banking Division acted as an advisor to EFG Hermes Holding on the sale.
