A company which is whollyowned by a trustee of a settlement under which James Mellon has a life interesthad made purchases in the open market earlier on the same day. This company purchased 200,000 Ordinary Shares of US$0.01 each, at a price of70p per share. As a result of these purchases, James Mellon and entities connected with him nowhave interests in 53,287,647 Ordinary Shares of US$0.01 each or 17.9% of thetotal number of Ordinary Shares of US$0.01 each in issue.
