The board of Travis Perkins plc (the "Company") was today notified that on 28th February 2011 Mr P N Hampden Smith a Director of the Company exercised options over 40,000 ordinary shares of 10p each in the company ("shares") at an option price of £5.96 per share.

As a result, Mr Hampden Smith now has a beneficial interest in 248,907 ordinary shares of 10p each in the Company, representing less than 0.1029% of the issued share capital.
