Purchase of Shares by a Director

On 10 October 2008, Charlemagne Capital Limited ("Charlemagne", the "Company"), was notified of a purchase of shares in the Company by Michael Baer, non-executive Chairman of the Company.

On 10 October 2008, Mr Baer purchased 50,000 Ordinary Shares of US$0.01 each at a price of 17.58p per share.

As a result of this purchase, Michael Baer now has an interest in 265,341 Ordinary Shares of US$0.01 each or 0.094% of the total number of Ordinary Shares of US$0.01 each in issue.
