Directors' Interests

The Company announces that on 5 November 2008 the following share purchases were made by Directors of Bowleven plc:-

Ronnie Hanna, Chairman of the Company, acquired 52,460 ordinary shares in the Company at a price of 124p per share. Following this transaction, Ronnie Hanna's total shareholding in the Company is 150,125 shares, representing 0.17% of the issued share capital of the Company.

Kevin Hart, Chief Executive of the Company, acquired 70,000 ordinary shares in the Company at a price of 124p per share. Following this transaction, Kevin Hart's total shareholding in the Company is 400,000 shares, representing 0.46% of the issued share capital of the Company.

Caroline Cook, Non-Executive Director of the Company, acquired 20,000 ordinary shares in the Company at a price of 124p per share. Following this transaction, Caroline Cook's total shareholding in the Company is 50,000 shares, representing 0.06% of the issued share capital of the Company.

Peter Wilson, Commercial Director/Company Secretary, acquired 38,300 ordinary shares in the Company at a price of 124p per share. Following this transaction, Peter Wilson's total shareholding in the Company is 75,000 shares, representing 0.09% of the issued share capital of the Company.
