First Quantum Minerals Ld17 May 2006 First Quantum Minerals Limited ("the Company") The Company announces that, on 17 May 2006, 200,000 common shares of no parvalue in the Company were issued to Martin Rowley, a director of the Company,pursuant to the exercise of options. The exercise price of 150,000 of theseoptions was $3.81 and the exercise price of the remaining 50,000 options was$5.10. Mr Rowley's total holding is now 420,000 common shares of no par value inthe Company, representing 0.67% of the Company's issued share capital.
