British Polythene Industries PLC (the "Company")

Share Matching Plan (SMP) Acquisition of Shares

The Company has been informed that the Trustees of the British Polythene Industries Plc Employees Share Ownership Trust have acquired, on 10th March 2011, 50,000 Ordinary shares of 25p each in the Company at a price of £2.62 per share. The shares were acquired for use in the SMP. Mr JT Langlands, Mr D Harris, Mr D Duthie, Mr A Green, Mr M Huyghe, Mr D Pendlebury and Mr I McDarmaid, as Executive Directors and PDMRs of the Company, are beneficiaries of the LTIP and as such they have an interest in the shares for the purposes of DTR 3.1.
