Huntsworth plc, the healthcare communications and public relations group, announces that Farah Ramzan Golant CBE, who joined the Board on 1 January 2015, has resigned as an Independent Non-Executive Director with effect from 5 October 2015 owing to her new commitments as CEO of Girl Effect.

Derek Mapp, Chairman of Huntsworth, said:

"In a relatively short period of time, Farah has made a valued contribution to the Huntsworth Board. I would like to thank Farah for her sound advice and wish her well in her new role with Girl Effect."

Farah Ramzan Golant CBE said:

"It is with some considerable regret that I step down from the Huntsworth Board at this time. However my new executive role means that I will be unable to devote the time required to participate fully as an Independent Non-Executive Director. I would like to wish the Chairman and the Company all the best in their future endeavours."
