HgCapital Trust plc (the "Company")

The Company announces that Tim Amies retired as a Director of the Company at the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting held on 10 May 2010.

Roger Mountford, Chairman, commented:

"Tim has served on the Board of HgCapital Trust since 1991. For many years he chaired the Audit and Valuation Committee, a role which he carried out with great diligence, making an important contribution to the performance and reputation of the Company. I am sure that all shareholders would like to join me in thanking Tim for all he has done for our Company."
