Akers Biosciences, Inc. (the "Company") Directors Share Purchase

The Company was informed yesterday that its Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Raymond Akers, purchased, on 31 January, 2007, 1,500,000 Ordinary Shares in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") at a price of 40 pence per Ordinary Share.

As a result of this share purchase, Dr Raymond Akers, and his immediate family, now hold 7,267,005 Ordinary Shares, representing approximately 12% of the issued share capital of the Company.
