Director Dealings and Timing of Chemical Assay Results
The Directors of Sirius Minerals Plc (AIM: SXX, OTCQX: SRUXY), the globally diversified potash mining company, were notified today that Scrimshaw Nominees Pty Limited as the trustee of Scrimshaw Family Trust, of which Mr RJ Scrimshaw is a beneficiary, has today purchased 1,000,000 of the Company's 0.25p ordinary shares ("Ordinary Shares") at an average price of 23.65p each. Following this transaction, Mr Scrimshaw has an indirect beneficial interest in 13,500,000 shares representing 1.31% of the Company's issued share capital.
The Company also confirms that the chemical assay results on its first hole at the York Potash Project are due to be received and released to the market next week. The next hole (SM2 at Howlett Hall) is approaching coring depth with the preliminary results expected within a few weeks of coring commencing.
As at the date of this announcement, the Company's issued share capital consists of 1,033,477,755 Ordinary Shares. The Company does not hold any Ordinary Shares in Treasury. Therefore the total number of Ordinary Shares in the Company with voting rights is 1,033,477,755.
