Man Alternative Investments Ld24 November 2006 BOARD DECISION 24 November 2006 MAN ALTERNATIVE INVESTMENTS LIMITED (the "Company") At a meeting of the Board of Directors held on the 23rd November 2006 for thepurpose of drawing up suitable proposals for the future of the Company(following the announcement on 10 November 2006 that the resolution put to theCompany's annual general meeting for the continuance of the Company was notcarried), the Board unanimously agreed that a voluntary liquidation of theCompany would be the most appropriate course of action to put to shareholdersfor their approval. In taking this decision, the Board took into account theviews of major shareholders as communicated to the Board by the Company'sbrokers. The Board will be submitting the proposal to wind-up the Company and cancel thelisting and trading of the Company's shares to Shareholders at an extraordinarygeneral meeting to be held, in any event, no later than 9 February 2007 asrequired by the Company's articles of association. The Board expects to apply for the suspension of the listing and trading of theCompany's shares with effect from the date of the extraordinary general meeting. The notice of the extraordinary general meeting and a circular outlining thedetails of the proposal will be circulated among shareholders in due course.
