Emblaze Ltd (LSE:BLZ) ("Emblaze" or "the Company") Company Update Legal claim against Apple Inc. Tel Aviv, Israel, 8 July, 2014 Legal claim against Apple Inc. Further to recent press reports with regard to the trial currently taking placein the United States District Court for the Northern District of California (inSan Jose), USA, in Emblaze's suit for patent infringement against Apple Inc. inrelation to Apple's HTTP Live Streaming technology and Emblaze's U.S. PatentNumber 6,389,473, the Company confirms that an expert engaged by the Companyhas estimated the value of the Company's claim against Apple to be in theamount of approximately $511 million for the period through June 2013. Apple is vigorously defending the claim and there can be no assurance as to theoutcome of the trial. As such, the sum that may be awarded to the Company, ifany, cannot be estimated at present. In addition, the Company anticipates thata substantial percentage of any settlement or recovery achieved in respect ofsaid claim, if any, will be paid to its legal and other advisers (includingemployees) on a contingency basis. Based on the advice of the Company's U.S. legal counsel, it is anticipated thata verdict in respect of said claim should be rendered by no later than the weekof July 18, 2014. Any judgment entered in the case will be subject to anappeal, and the appeal process may take 12 to 18 months, or even longer.
