Consortium headed by Lord Harris12 December 2007 Carpetright - clarification statement concerning possible offer As stated in Carpetright's interim results announcement released on 11 December2007, the consortium headed by Lord Harris and other members of the seniorCarpetright management team is continuing its discussions with the IndependentCommittee of the Board of Carpetright. These discussions are at an advancedstage and remain on the same terms as outlined in the announcement of 9 October2007, in particular in relation to the proposed offer price of £12.50 perCarpetright share. A report in a newspaper today erroneously stated that LordHarris would not change the proposed price.
