Switch to seasonal reporting

IG Seismic Services PLC ("IGSS" or the "Company", LSE: IGSS), the leading pure-play land and transition zone seismic company in Russia and the CIS and one of the largest land seismic companies globally, announces plans to switch to seasonal financial reporting as opposed to reporting on the results of the calendar year. Financial year will run from 1 July to 30 June of each year, staring 1 July 2016.

Due to high seasonality of the Company's business it was decided to prepare and publish seasonal reports rather than reports for the calendar year. Taking into account the switch, the Company will make public financial results for the season 2016-2017 (the period from 1 July 2016 to 30 June 2017) by 31 October 2017, in accordance with the regulatory deadlines for periodic financial reporting.

According to IFRS rules (IAS 1.36) in case the Company publishes financials for the year ended 31 December 2016, it must report the either period from 1 January 2017 to 30 June 2017, or 18-months-period ended 30 June 2017, both of which would not be indicative of seasonal operating results of the Company's business. Therefore decision not to publish audited financials for the calendar year ended 31 December 2016 was made.
