Allied Irish Banks, p.l.c. ("AIB") announces that Mr. Stephen Kingon has been appointed Chairman of AIB's Audit Committee, with immediate effect. He replaces Mr. Dan O'Connor who took over the Chairmanship of the Board of AIB on 1 July 2009.
