Berkeley Berry Birch PLC25 January 2005 BOARD CHANGES AT BERKELEY BERRY BIRCH PLC ("THE COMPANY") The Board announces that Craig Butcher, Finance Director, has given notice ofhis intention to resign to pursue his career in another area. A termination dateis being mutually agreed and the Board hopes to name a successor in this roleshortly. The Board also announces that Kevin Higginson will not renew his mandate as aNon Executive Director on 1 February 2005, following the completion of a twoyear term. Kevin's place as Non Executive Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee willbe taken by John Joyce, who will be appointed to the Board on 1 February 2005.John is a Chartered Accountant and currently Chairman of Wenham Major PrivateClients. He was formerly National Head of Tax of Tenon Group Plc and prior tothis role he was Head of UK Corporate Tax for Rolls Royce Plc. The Board further announces the resignation on 24 January 2005 of Bill Main,part time Deputy Chairman since October 2004. The Board will also be appointing Michael Cleary, currently Director of itsFinancial Services Division, to the Plc Board with effect 1 February 2005, andexpects to announce a new Executive Director, a Plc Board position carryingprimary responsibility for its Insurance Division, within the next six weeks.
