Appointment of Project Manager for the Salamanca Uranium Project

Berkeley Resources Limited is pleased to advise that it has appointed a senior Spanish mining and processing engineer, Mr Francisco Bellon del Rosal, as Project Manager for the Salamanca Uranium Project ("Project"). Mr Bellon will have overall responsibility for completion of the current feasibility study for the total Project and has the skills and experience to then manage the Project through construction, commissioning and eventual production. In addition, he will have a key role in liaising with local, regional and federal government officials as the Project progresses. He will assume his role on 9th May 2011, be based in Salamanca, Spain, and report directly to the Managing Director.

Mr Bellon holds a Mining Engineering degree from the Oviedo University in Asturias, Spain, and also has extensive senior experience in mineral processing and project management. His 15 years in the minerals industry includes 10 years with Rio Narcea Recoursos SA, where he was associated with the commissioning of four mines, including Au, Au-Cu, and Ni-Cu-PGM's. He was responsible for the Agua Blanca Ni-Cu-PGM operation from construction through to commissioning and exploitation, and also held the position of Direccion Facultativa (Registered Manager), as required under Spanish Mining Law. In addition, he was a member of the Agua Blanca Definitive State Reserve Consortium Management Committee.

For the last three and a half years Mr Bellon has been working as a Project Manager and leading consultant for Grupo Duro Feguera Plantas Industriales S.A., a Spanish construction company. Here he has been responsible for the design, engineering and construction of mineral processing facilities in Venezuela, Senegal and Mauritania, and for business development. His combination of operational and project management experience in the mining and construction industries, and his strong processing skills, are ideally suited to bringing the Salamanca Uranium Project to fruition.

Mr Henry Horne, the Acting Managing Director, commented: "With the recruitment of Mr Bellon, Berkeley has significantly strengthened its operating team. His skills and experience, and his knowledge of the Spanish mining and construction industries, are very well matched to the requirements of the Salamanca Uranium Project."
