Gooch & Housego PLC16 February 2005 16 February 2005 Gooch & Housego PLC AGM Statement -Board Changes & Trading Update At the AGM of Gooch & Housego PLC to be held later today, Chief ExecutiveOfficer Gareth Jones will update shareholders on changes to the board andcurrent trading: "Gooch & Housego PLC confirms that, as stated in the Chief Executive's Review of20 January 2005, Mr A W C Gooch has decided that due to continuing ill health hewill retire as Non Executive Chairman at today's Annual General Meeting. The process of recruiting a Chairman has already begun and it is intended thatan appointment will be made shortly. During this period Mr G C W Jones has beenappointed Acting Chairman in addition to his role as Chief Executive Officer.
