Zambeef (AIM:ZAM), the fully integrated agri-business with operations in Zambia, Nigeria and Ghana, is pleased to announce the appointment of Charles Mpundu as Non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from 1 February 2014.

Mr. Mpundu holds a degree in Actuarial Sciences from City University, London, and an MBA in Finance from Durham University Business School. He is the Director General of the National Pension Scheme Authority of Zambia, and has previously worked as Chief Executive of the Workers' Compensation Fund Control Board, and as Non-Executive Director of the Pan African Building Society.

Dr. Jacob Mwanza, Chairman of Zambeef, commented:

"Charles has diverse expertise and a successful track record of achievements in both private and public sectors. His experience and relationships with Zambian institutional investors is expected to be of value to Zambeef and we look forward to working with him to further increase shareholder value."

Charles Mpundu does not hold any interest in the share capital of the Company. There is no further information to be disclosed under Schedule Two (g) of the AIM Rules for Companies.
