Director's Dealing - Newly-appointed Director buys Shares

eXpansys plc, the online consumer electronics retailer, announces that Brian Collie, who was appointed to the Board on 11 October, bought 400,000 shares at a price of 6.75p on 12 October 2010.

Brian Collie joins the company as a non executive director, effective from 1 November 2010.

He has a distinguished career as an international retailer with over thirty years of experience.

NOTES TO EDITORS

Brian was appointed to the board of lastminute.com, prior to its stock market listing in 2000, where he worked closely with the founders, Brent Hoberman and Martha Lane-Fox, to ensure the company was well resourced, well managed and prudently financed. Brian later became Chairman of lastminute.com plc in 2004 and, following a period of exponential growth, led the successful sale of the company.

As Group Retail Director, on the main board of BAA plc from 1997 to 2005, Brian was responsible for all commercial activity across twenty airports, transforming the retail offer at major hubs including London Heathrow, London Gatwick and Boston Logan and introducing e-commerce and telecoms to the commercial portfolio.

Currently Chairman of the Jurys Inns Hotel Group, Brian works closely with the owners and the management team on rolling out their strategy of expansion of the successful Jurys Inns model. The Group now has over thirty hotels internationally. He is also a Non Executive Director of the McArthurGlen Group - Europe's first, largest and most profitable Designer Outlet Village developer and operator - where he also chairs the Luxury Retail division, which develops full-price luxury shopping centres at airports.
