WYG plc (WYG or the Company),  announces that on 24 September, following the recommendation of the Company's remuneration committee, Paul Hamer, Chief Executive Officer, and Sean Cummins, Group Finance Director, have been awarded options to acquire ordinary shares of 0.1p each (Ordinary Shares).

On 24 September 2015, Paul Hamer agreed to surrender 2,650,813 of the unvested awards made to him in July 2011 under the WYG Transformation Incentive Plan (TIP). On the same date the Company's remuneration committee awarded Mr Hamer 419,056 options under the Performance Share Plan (PSP) approved by shareholders at the Company's AGM earlier in the day.

On 24 September 2015, Sean Cummins agreed to surrender 1,169,116 of the unvested awards made to him in March 2012 under the WYG Transformation Incentive Plan (TIP). On the same date the Company's remuneration committee awarded Mr Cummins 193,410 options under the Performance Share Plan (PSP).

In accordance with the rules of the PSP, the awards have been granted as a conditional allocation of Ordinary Shares with a nominal value exercise price and no shareholder rights will be conferred upon the awardholder until the award has vested and Ordinary Shares are acquired. The PSP awards are subject to stretching performance conditions, clawback and retention provisions, details of which are set out in the Circular to shareholders dated 27 August 2015.

Following the awards, details of the beneficial holdings of Mr Hamer and Mr Cummins are as follows:

The Company has 68,384,528 Ordinary Shares in issue.
