Appointment of Finance Director and Operations Director and Grant of Share Options to a Director

Further to the announcement on 24 November 2008, WH Ireland is pleased to announce that Nigel Gurney and Michael Frame have joined the Board of W H Ireland as Finance Director and Operations Director, respectively, with immediate effect.

As previously announced, Nigel Gurney has been granted options over 50,000 ordinary shares of 5p each ("Ordinary Shares"). The options are exercisable at 69.5 pence per Ordinary Share at any time after 1 December 2011 and will expire on 30 November 2018. The options have been granted under the W H Ireland Group plc Unapproved Share Option Scheme.
