Ireland Group PLC12 April 2005 W H Ireland Group PLC AGM Statement At the AGM of W H Ireland Group PLC, the Manchester based stockbroker, heldtoday, the Chairman, Sir David Trippier made the following statement on currenttrading. "I am pleased to report that our new financial year has started very well withturnover up by 30% over the same four month period last year All areas of thebusiness are performing well. In particular, we have a strong pipeline ofCorporate Finance work and have already completed 11 introductions to AIM and 5secondary placings. Our stockbroking operations continue to expand. We have taken on more feeearners, taking our total group staff numbers to 180. We have opened an officein Kilmarnock, our first branch in Scotland and an additional office in theEast Midlands, with further openings under negotiation. We continue to examineacquisition opportunities to expand and broaden the base of the business. With continued stable market conditions we anticipate a successful outcome forthe half year."
