Collaboration to launch Scion online shop
Walker Greenbank PLC (AIM: WGB), the luxury interior design and furnishings group, announces an innovative collaboration to advance the Company's digital strategy in which a leading internet retailer of home furnishings will develop and operate an online shop for the Company's Scion brand.
The online shop, dedicated solely to Scion, will sell the brand's products direct to consumers under a franchise agreement with Design Online Limited ("Design Online"), a company formed by the leading internet retailer Jane Clayton and Company.
For more than 30 years, Walker Greenbank has worked closely with Jane Clayton and Company, whose multi-brand website, www.janeclayton.co.uk, sells all of the Company's brands.
The franchise agreement with Design Online will have an initial term of five years and require little capital investment by the Company. Design Online will use its extensive e-commerce experience in the development of the Scion online shop, digital marketing and fulfilment.
The online shop, to be called Scion Living, is expected to be launched in Spring next year. It will initially serve customers in the UK and Europe before potentially expanding internationally.
The shop's product range is expected to include all Scion fabrics and wallcoverings along with bespoke furnishings and an extensive range of licensed products.
