Weir Group PLC30 August 2005 The Weir Group Plc -------------------- Application has been made to the Financial Services Authority and the LondonStock Exchange Plc for a total of 1,000,000 Ordinary shares of 12.5p each("shares") to be admitted to the Official List. It is expected that admission will be granted on 31 August 2005 and that tradingwill commence 1 September 2005. These shares are being reserved under a block listing and will be issued as aresult of the exercise of share awards pursuant to the following schemes: Schemes SharesSavings Related Share Option Scheme 1991 300,000Savings Related Share Option Scheme 2001 200,000Executive Share Option Scheme 1994 500,000 When issued, these shares will rank pari passu with the existing Ordinaryshares.
