The Vitec Group PLC25 January 2007 The Vitec Group plc NOTIFICATION OF MAJOR INTERESTS IN SHARES In conformity with the Transparency Directive The Vitec Group plc ("Vitec") is required to announce to the market the receipt of notifications of major interests in shares. Vitec received notice on 24 January 2007 on behalf of Prudential plc in accordance with the Disclosure and Transparency Rules that Prudential plc and certain of its subsidiary companies have a notifiable interest in 3,098,275 ordinary shares of 20p each in Vitec, being 7.50% of the issued ordinary share capital of Vitec as at 19 January 2007. This is an initial notification due to change of thresholds for non-material interests.
