Appointment of Director

Volvere plc (AIM: VLE), the growth and turnaround investment company, is pleased to announce that Michael Tzirki has been appointed to the Board of Volvere as a Non-executive Director with immediate effect.

Michael Andrew Tzirki (age 62) is Managing Director of Shire Foods Limited, the Group's 80%-owned food manufacturing business.

Michael qualified as a Chartered Civil Engineer in 1991 and has worked both in the public and private sectors in a number of different roles. He has been a director of Shire Foods Limited since 1994 and Managing Director since 1996.

Commenting on the appointment, David Buchler, Chairman said "I am pleased to welcome Michael to the Board. He has been a trusted colleague within the Group for many years, often supporting the executive directors in considering acquisition targets and I know he will provide useful continuing input as we execute our forward strategy."

Michael Tzirki holds or has held in the past five years the following directorships and/or partnerships:

Michael Tzirki does not have an interest in Volvere shares or any share options. He and his wider family own 19.8% of the issued share capital of Shire Foods Limited. 

Michael Tzirki was a director of Shire Foods Limited in January 2012, when it entered a Company Voluntary Arrangement ("CVA") following the initial investment by the Group. The CVA was implemented in full in accordance with its terms.

There is no further information to be disclosed in relation to Michael Tzirki's appointment pursuant to AIM Rule 17 or Schedule Two, paragraph (g) (i)-(viii) of the AIM Rules for Companies.
