VEDANTA RESOURCES PLC - APPLICATION TO LIST SHARES

Vedanta Resources plc announces that an application has been made to the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock Exchange for a block listing of 765,000 Ordinary shares of US$0.10 each to be admitted to the Official List.

These ordinary shares are to be issued for the release of awards under the Vedanta Resources plc Employee Share Ownership Plan. The shares shall rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares of the Company.
