UniVision Engineering Ltd11 February 2008 UniVision Engineering Ltd ("UniVision" or "the Group) Service Supplier Certification under CEPA UniVision, the AIM listed Hong Kong based designer and installer of digitalsurveillance and integrated security systems, is pleased to announce that, on 4February 2008, it was awarded the Certificate of Hong Kong Service Supplier(HKSS) for CEPA from the Department of Trade and Industry of the Hong KongGovernment. Under the Mainland and Hong Kong CEPA (Closer Economic PartnershipArrangement), a certified supplier is permitted to provide Engineering Servicesover a greater region of Mainland China (PRC). Access to the mainland forwholly-owned foreign enterprises was previously restricted. In order to operate in Mainland China companies must meet certain criteria, andinclusion in CEPA will provide UniVision with a relaxation of many of theserules. These include restrictions on equity shareholding, registered capital andturnover requirements, as well as fewer restrictions on the areas where asupplier may operate and the scope of the business that they can perform.
