Martin Bradbury and Clive Elphick redeemed 301 and 348 B shares respectively, held within the Share Incentive Plan at ‚£1.70 per B Share.

Furthermore, United Utilities Group PLC ("the Company") announces that itreceived notification on 19 August 2008 that the Trustee, Equiniti EmployeeShare Plan Trustees Limited, purchased ordinary shares of 5p each on behalf ofthe following directors and persons discharging managerial responsibility on 18August 2008, to be held in accordance with the rules of the Company's InlandRevenue approved share incentive plan.
