Taylor Wimpey Employee Share Ownership Trusts

Share Acquisitions

Taylor Wimpey plc's Employee Share Ownership Trust 2004 has acquired 4,336,231 1p ordinary shares ("Shares") on the London Stock Exchange at an average acquisition cost per share of 46.123p net of expenses.

These Shares will be used to meet the valid exercise or vesting of options or awards over Shares granted under the terms of the Company's various share plans.

Following this transaction, Taylor Wimpey's Employee Share Ownership Trust 1995 ("ESOT 1") holds 637,285 Shares and Taylor Wimpey's Employee Share Ownership Trust 2004 ("ESOT 2") holds 34,756,886 Shares.

Each of the executive directors of the Company is a potential beneficiary under both ESOT 1 and ESOT 2 and therefore is regarded as having a notional interest in the current holding of each ESOT.
