Dear Sirs/Madam,
This has reference to our disclosure dated December 15, 2016 informing the exchange of the Company being served with a copy of the plaint in Suit No (L) 1119 of 2016 filed by Mr. Janak Mathuradas & Ors against Union of India & Ors (Tata Steel Limited being Defendant No 6) along with copy of the Notice of Motion for ad-interim relief sought therein and with a copy of the affidavit in support of the notice of motion.
The Notice of Motion was on board for ad-interim reliefs before His Lordship, the Hon'ble Mr. Justice S.J. Kathawalla on December 16, 2016. The Hon'ble Court ordered that the resolution passed at the ensuing EGM with regard to the removal of Mr. Nusli Wadia as a Director of the Company, shall be subject to the orders passed by the Court at the interim stage. Also, until further orders, one seat among the Directors permissible under the Articles of Association of the Company will remain unfilled.
This disclosure is made in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
