Award of options

Transense Technologies plc (the "Company" or "Transense") announces that on 2 August 2012 it issued options over 1,500,000 ordinary shares of 1p each (the "Options") under the Transense 2011 Enterprise Management Incentive Option Scheme (the "Scheme") to Melvyn Segal, the Company's Finance Director.

The Options provide the right to subscribe for Ordinary Shares at an exercise price of £0.1025 per ordinary share if the Company's share price reaches £0.20 and expire on 2 August 2022

Further to the announcement of Melvyn Segal's appointment on 11 June 2012 and following the issue of the Options, Melvyn Segal is interested in 1,144,444 Ordinary Shares representing an interest of 0.58 per cent of the total voting rights of the Company. In addition, Melvyn Segal is interested in 2,125,000 options over ordinary shares as follows:

The Remuneration Committee has resolved to grant these options on the terms set out above. The Exercise Price was determined by reference to the closing price on the date that Mr Segal joined the Board.
