Tarsus Group PLC24 September 2007 TARSUS GROUP PLC ACQUISITION 24 September 2007 Tarsus Group plc, the international business-to-business media group withinterests in exhibitions, conferences, publishing and online media, has todayannounced the acquisition of Label Expositions Private Limited (a Mumbai basedcompany) which owns the India Label Show from the Arora family for a net cashconsideration of Rs 38.9 million (approximately £477,000). The India Labels Show takes place biennially and its next edition will be heldin New Delhi in December 2008. The last edition in 2006 occupied 3,600 net sq m.and it is expected that the next show will grow in line with the underlyingIndian label market. Douglas Emslie, Group Managing Director of Tarsus, said: "This acquisition isanother step in our strategy of increasing Tarsus's exposure to fast growingemerging markets and substantially completes our geographical representationserving the global labels industry. The Indian label market is growing atapproximately18% per annum and is forecast to triple in size over the next 5years with the rapid growth of local supermarkets and the entry into India ofleading international chains such as Walmart and Tesco."
