PROGRESS WITH WHITEHALL RIVERSIDE SCHEME

MERRION CENTRE SIGNS DEAL WITH THE NHS

Town Centre Securities PLC, the Leeds based property investor and car park operator, today announces progress with its development scheme at Whitehall Riverside, as well as an agreement with NHS Trust to open a medical centre at Merrion shopping centre.

Whitehall Road offices receive planning permission

TCS has secured planning consent for an eight story, 70,000 square foot office with 38 parking spaces on a brownfield plot on Whitehall Road, Leeds.

The development forms part of the TCS Whitehall Riverside scheme which includes 300,000 square foot of premium office space, a 500 space multi-storey car park and significant public realm and is linked to the already established walkway and pedestrian bridge.

It is expected that work on the scheme will begin later this year, subject to part pre-let, for which negations are in hand.

NHS Trust to open at Merrion Centre

TCS has completed a £6m agreement with NHS Trust for a 7,000 square foot health clinic in the Merrion Centre.

The centre is expected to open in autumn 2015 and will fulfil the NHS and Leeds City Council's pledge to provide a more efficient and integrated health service in Leeds. It is anticipated that the centre will see c.45,000 visitors a year.
