AGM Statement and Director Change
Tangent Communications plc, a leading provider of Intelligent Marketing and Technology, announces that at its Annual General Meeting, to be held at 11.00am today, Piers Caldecote, Chairman of Tangent, will make the following statement:
"Trading in the first five months of the current financial year is in line with budget, significantly ahead of performance in the same period last year and the previous six month period. Group prospects in the seasonally lower second half period remain promising.
After four years with Tangent, Greg Jackson has today stepped down from the board in advance of leaving the business. His contribution has helped significantly in the positioning of technology at the centre of Tangent's offering and the growth of the online division as a whole and we wish him well for the future.
As anticipated at the time of the Company's preliminary results, revenue growth across the business has continued with an increasing mix of higher margin sales in the Direct Marketing division being somewhat offset by lower margin performance in the online division which we aim to improve as the year continues."
