Telecom Egypt S Regulatory News (TEEG)

Cairo, 14 November 2011: Telecom Egypt (TE) (Ticker: ETEL.CA; TEEG.LN), today announced a change to its Board of Directors with immediate effect. 

Mr. Moaz Kamel Helfaya has been appointed to Telecom Egypt's Board of Directors as the employees' representative, replacing Mr. Adel Hussein Abdel Aziz. The change has been made in compliance with a court ruling to dissolve the existing employee syndicate representation on the board of directors and instead to appoint an interim committee to manage the syndicate's affairs.

Mr. Helfaya has been a board member of the Company's loyalty fund since 2009 and has also acted as the long-standing Deputy Secretariat of Bani Sweif employees union. Helfaya joined the Company in 1972.

 Commenting on the changes, Mr. Akil Beshir, Chairman of Telecom Egypt said:
