Telefonica O2 Czech Republic, A.S.19 June 2007 Press Release With our O2 Smart Roaming tariff you can call home from your holiday without anyworries Date: 19. 06. 2007 As every year, Telefonica O2 brings wants to make a holiday abroad more pleasantfor its customers by introducing a tailor-made tariff. All customers of O2mobile services can use special O2 Smart Roaming tariff with up to 82 % cheapercalls from 14 popular holiday destinations. Call for only CZK 9,90 per minute From 20 June 2007, all customers of O2 services can pay only CZK 9.90 exclusiveof VAT (CZK 11.78 inclusive of VAT) per minute of an outgoing call; that is upto 82 % less than the regular roaming call prices. Outgoing call prices apply tocalls directed to the Czech Republic and calls made within the visited Smartroaming zone. Users of the new O2 Smart Roaming Tariff also save on calling fromthe rest of the EU countries (25 instead of 35 CZK/min excl. VAT) Incoming calls free-of-charge All customers who decide to activate the O2 Smart Roaming Tariff will get 30incoming roaming call minutes every month for free in the selected countries.But they need not worry even after the free half-hour is used up. The incomingcall prices are still very economical - CZK 5.00 per minute excl. VAT (CZK 5.95incl. VAT). No fees No activation, subscription or connection fees are charged on top of the priceof the call. The price of the call applies to all calls regardless of peak/off-peak times, and to all networks in the destination country, so eliminatingthe need to search for the network with the lowest rates. The most popular holiday destinations The O2 Smart Roaming Tariff covers the most sought-after summer destinations ofCzech holidaymakers: Croatia, Slovakia, France, Italy, Spain, Cyprus, Malta,Bulgaria and Greece. Moreover the offer applies also to non-Europeandestinations - Egypt, Turkey, Malaysia and Thailand - that are also popular withmany travelers. Activation All post-paid and pre-paid customers can activate O2 Smart Roaming until 15September 2007 by sending an SMS with text SMART to the 999111 number. Customerswho activate O2 Smart Roaming will continue to be charged at the special O2Smart Roaming rates also after 15 September 2007. This way benefits of specialroaming tariff can be enjoyed also by increasing number of off-peak travelers. The service can also be activated by calling the *11 customer service number orat any O2 branded store. The customer must have the roaming service activated ontheir number in order to be eligible for the promotion. The rates apply also to video calls, subject to availability.Outgoing calls from one zone to another attract the rate of the higher-pricedzone; e.g. calling from zone 1 to zone 2 is charged at CZK 25 per minute (excl.VAT). The listed prices do not apply to calling to premium rate numbers andtoll-free numbers. Direct dialing for pre-paid customers Nearly all customers of the O2 pre-paid service can now make a call in the mostpopular holiday destinations by dialing directly, without the need to dial aspecial pre-fix. At this moment, the service is being automatically activated toall prepaid customers with active voice roaming, the rest of pre-paid customerscan activate it by calling the customer service number, or at any O2 brandedstore. The call-back function continues to be available to pre-paid customers (*101*mobile number#). During fall of 2007 the automatic activation for all pre-paidcustomers shall be finished. The list of countries where direct dialing isavailable will gradually expand to include additional popular traveldestinations.
