Telefonica O2 Czech Republic, A.S.05 February 2007 Press release Bratislava February, 2 2007 Telefonica O2 Slovakia started today the commercial operation for O2 Jednotky Telefonica O2 Slovakia started today after midnight the commercial operation forO2 Jednotky. First calls were made even during the first minutes of this day.The option to call using the new operator extended stepwise to the entireterritory of Slovakia. "The number of registered parties interested in our services exceeded the limitof 600 thousand. This figure is several times higher than the original estimatesof the public and on the upper limit of our own estimates. We perceive it as aconfirmation of our attractive offer and confidence of the market. We would liketo thank to all O2 Jednotky and welcome them as a part of a family consistingtoday of even 200 million of customers of the Telefonica Group. Now ourpriority is to provide all customers with services and customer care on thehighest level", stated the general director of Telefonica O2 Slovakia, JurajSedivy. SIM card distribution for O2 Jednotky, mediated by the post office, startedalready in January and should continue during February. Telefonica O2 Slovakiashall deliver each day and activate ten thousands of SIM cards. The companyshall conclude this demanding logistic process according to plans until the endof February. For activation of SIM cards nothing else would be necessary only to make thefirst call. As the first call necessary for activation should be considered anycall and customers should immediately acquire all benefits belonging to O2Jednotky. In case of a need to add information into database, operators can thefirst call automatically redirect to the call center. SIM cards delivered by thepost office after installation would be automatically assigned to the networkleased from our roaming partner. In case customers have set up a differentnetwork, it would be necessary to set up it manually to T-Mobile Slovakia (ourhosting network). Also activation of SIM cards, acquired by customers from hostesses is performedaccording to our plan. Because of the high number of SIM cards sold byhostesses, the company even in advance increased the capacity for their systemimplementation and this process should be finished within a shorter deadline inorder to activate the cards at latest by February, 3. O2 Jednotky, who registered but did not order the prepaid O2 SIM card, canorder cards via Internet www.sk.o2.com or using the toll free line 0800 02 0202. Period of time for activation of SIM cards for O2 Jednotky was extended byTelefonica O2 Slovakia until the end of March 2007. A 100% bonus at the first recharging of credit should receive starting fromtoday until March 31 each customer. Telefonica O2 Slovakia shall introducestepwise to the market recharging vouchers with the nominal value representingSKK 250, 350, 550 and 950. The credit validity shall represent for the first twoalternatives 3 months and for the other alternatives 6 months. Rechargingvouchers for O2 Jednotky shall be starting from today sold in a broad networkof more than 2 thousand point of sales located in the entire territory ofSlovakia. Customers can find them for instance in the network of shops of COOPJednota, at OMV, Shell and Slovnaft petrol stations, in selected newspaperstands, specialized mobile technology shops and at other places. O2 Jednotky shall call for SKK 2 koruna within the own network and SKK 8.50 perminute of call into other networks during 24 hours of any day of the week. Theoffer for O2 Jednotky includes calls into the Czech Republic for the same priceas for calls into other networks in the Slovak Republic - SKK 8.50. Price of SMSshall represent SKK 3.20 and MMS SKK 9. Starting from today, GPRS data servicesshould be also available, and for O2 Jednotky with automated activation free ofcharge. Price of data transmission shall represent SKK 29 /MB. All prices arelisted including VAT.
