Telit certifies LTE Cat 1 VoLTE (Voice over LTE), Cat 4 VoLTE and LTE Cat 11 Technologies with AT&T & response to press coverage

Telit Communications PLC ("Telit", "the Group", AIM: TCM), a global enabler of the Internet of Things (IoT), today announces that its LE910B1-NA, LE910B1-SA, LTE Category 1 (Cat 1-VoLTE) and LE910B4-NA, LTE Category 4 (Cat 4-VoLTE) received certification for operation on AT&T's LTE nationwide network for three of its modules which will support the operator's Voice over LTE (VoLTE) standard.

Certification means IoT integrators and providers can immediately integrate and test their devices with the certified modules and start leveraging the reliability and coverage of AT&T's LTE Cat 1-VoLTE, Cat 4-VoLTE and Cat 11 services for the IoT.

Yosi Fait, Telit's Interim Chief Executive Officer, commented:

"Voice over LTE is an absolute necessity for the IoT particularly for the American market where operators need to turn off spectrum-inefficient circuit switch voice technology.

"Our existing customers using 2G, 3G and non-VoLTE modules from our xE910 family can now simply drop in the VoLTE variants, go through required testing with our help and start deploying voice capable products."

The certified modules are members of Telit's best-selling xE910 family and can easily be applied as a pin-to-pin replacement for existing devices based on the family's modules for 2G, 3G, LTE Categories 1, 3 and 4. With the company's design-once-use-anywhere philosophy, developers can cut costs and development time by simply designing to the xE910 LGA common form factor, giving them the freedom to deploy technologies best suited for the application's environment.

Telit also notes recent press coverage regarding the possible sale of its automotive division. As previously stated on 28 September 2017, Telit commenced a review of its activities with a view to delivering a significant rationalisation of the Group's product lines and reduction in its cost base.

Separately of this review, the Board has for some time been actively considering the future of product lines which may not fit the Group's long-term strategy. One of the product lines being considered is the Group's automotive division. This process, led by Rothschild, is at a very early stage.
