Tanfield Group PLC27 June 2007 Tanfield Group Plc ("Tanfield" or the "Company") Recent press speculation The Company notes the recent press speculation regarding a fund raising. TheCompany confirms that it has completed a placing to raise £115 million at 163pper ordinary share to fund a substantial acquisition, which is expected to besignificantly earnings enhancing in the first full year of ownership.
