Directors Shareholding Update
The Directors of Sirius Minerals Plc (AIM: SXX, OTCQX: SRUXY) ("Sirius" or the "Company") have been notified that Sigiriya Capital Pty Limited ("Sigiriya"), a company controlled by C&J Fraser Investments as trustee for The Fraser Family Trust in which Christopher Fraser has a beneficial interest, has taken control of 7,499,850 ordinary shares in the Company. The transfer of these shares to Sigiriya will be made pursuant to a court order of the Supreme Court of New South Wales Court of Appeal following the successful outcome of a legal action involving a former employee of Sigiriya, which has been ongoing since the beginning of 2012. The transfer of these shares will lead to Mr Fraser having a beneficial interest in 122,000,600 ordinary shares in the Company which represents 8.3 per cent of the Company's current issued share capital.
The Directors have also been notified that Christopher Catlow's shareholding remains at 100,000,000 ordinary shares in the Company, but his beneficial interest by percentage in the Company has decreased to 6.8 per cent of the current issued share capital. This decrease in the beneficial interest as a percentage of the issued share capital is a result of the increase of the Company's issued share capital following share issues made pursuant to notices served on the Company under the convertible securities previously issued on 13 August 2013.
